Afrocelestis minuta is een vlinder van de familie van de echte motten (Tineidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Celestica minuta door László Anthony Gozmány in een publicatie uit 1965. 1965: Some collections of Tineid moths from Africa (Microlepidoptera). Verspreiding De soort komt voor in Ethiopië en Oeganda.
