"Isolation of chlorine-containing antibiotic from the freshwater cyanobacterium Scytonema hofmanni." Science (1982), vol. 215, blz. 400-402. "Structure of the antibiotic cyanobacterin, a chlorine-containing γ-lactone from the freshwater cyanobacterium Scytonema hofmanni." J. Org. Chem. (1983), vol. 49, blz. 735-736.
"Site of action of the natural algicide, cyanobacterin in the blue-green alga, Synechococcus sp." Arch. Microbiol. (1984), vol. 138, blz. 273-277. "Mechanism of action of cyanobacterin in the eucaryotic alga Euglena gracilis Z". PhD Dissertation, University of Minnesota, 1989.
