Rijsttenreks (Oryzorictinae) zijn een onderfamilie van de Tenreks (Tenrecidae). De onderfamilie werd voor het eerst beschreven door George Edward Dobson in 1882.Bronner, G.N.; Jenkins, P.D (2005). De soorten uit deze onderfamilie zijn allen endemisch in Madagaskar. De dieren hebben een lengte van 4 tot 17 centimeter en hebben een relatief lange staart. De vacht is grijs tot bruin en lichter aan de onderkant. De tenreks zijn carnivoren.
