Proutia maculatella is een vlinder uit de familie zakjesdragers (Psychidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2014 door Toyohei Saigusa & Sugimoto., 2014: Japanese species of the genus Proutia Tutt, 1899 (Lepidoptera: Psychidae).
