Holocerina murphyi is een vlinder uit de familie nachtpauwogen (Saturniidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2014 door Thierry Bouyer., 2014: Description d'espèces nouvelles et note sur les genres Holocerina Pinhey, 1956 et Orthogonioptilum Karsch, 1893 (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae).
