Ornithuroscincus is een geslacht van hagedissen uit de familie van de skinken (Scincidae).
Naam en indeling De wetenschappelijke naam van de groep werd voor het eerst voorgesteld door Slavenko, Tamar, Tallowin, Kraus, Allison, Carranza, & Meiri in 2021.Slavenko, A., Tamar, K., Tallowin, O. Revision of the montane New Guinean skink genus Lobulia (Squamata: Scincidae), with the description of four new genera and nine new species. Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, 195(1), 220-278. Er zijn tien soorten, waarvan een deel voorheen tot het geslacht Lobulia werd gerekend.
Verspreiding en habitat De meeste soorten komen alleen voor op Nieuw-Guinea, maar Ornithuroscincus noctua komt op veel eilanden voor in Oceanië.
