Acanthallagma is een geslacht van libellen (Odonata) uit de familie van de waterjuffers (Coenagrionidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van dit geslacht is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Edward Bruce Williamson en zijn neef Jesse H. Williamson in een publicatie uit 1924. & (1924). A remarkable new genus of Coenagrionidae from Brazil, with descriptions of three new species (Odonata) Occasional papers of the museum of Zoology, 154: 1–25. De soorten van dit geslacht komen in Brazilië voor.
