Paranthrene pellucida is een vlinder uit de familie wespvlinders (Sesiidae), onderfamilie Sesiinae.
Paranthrene pellucida is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Greenfield & Karandinos in 1979. "A new Species of Paranthrene (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae)." Proc. Entomol. Soc. Wash. (1979), vol. 81, blz. 499. De soort komt voor in het Nearctisch gebied.: Checklist of the Sesiidae of the world (Lepidoptera: Ditrysia) -- Last modified: 23-Dec-2011. Bezocht op 8 februari 2012. Het holotype is afkomstig uit de Amerikaanse staat Wisconsin. De soort lijkt erg op Paranthrene simulans.
