Afrocelestis lochaea is een vlinder van de familie van de echte motten (Tineidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Scardia lochaea door Edward Meyrick in een publicatie uit 1911., 1911: Tortricina and Tineina. Verspreiding De soort komt voor op de Seychellen.
