Richard Bakalyan (Watertown, 29 januari 1931 - Elmira, 27 februari 2015) was een Amerikaanse acteur die in het begin van zijn carrière vooral jeugdige delinquenten speelde.
Vroege leven Richard Bakalyan was de zoon van de in Armenië geboren William Nishan Bakalyan en Elsie Florence (née Fancy) Bakalyan, een Canadese uit Nova Scotia . Hij had twee broers. Zijn vader stierf in 1939, toen Richard 8 jaar oud was
Bakalyan leerde tijdens zijn jeugd om te boksen, zodat hij zichzelf kon verdedigen bij gevechten op straat. Op vijftienjarige leeftijd kreeg hij een jaar voorwaardelijke straf voor onbekende misdrijven.
Bakalyan diende in de Amerikaanse luchtmacht tijdens de Koreaanse Oorlog . Na vier jaar dienst kreeg hij eervol ontslag met de rang van stafsergeant .
Overlijden Bakalyan overleed plotseling aan een beroerte op 27 februari 2015 in het Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York, op 84-jarige leeftijd.
